APPROACHING IMMANUEL WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITIES
We now have a dedicated site for training.
The link is:
The skills and processes taught in this training are grounded in the theory of the Immanuel Approach for emotional healing developed by Dr Karl Lehman and Dr E James Wilder.
They are a combination of what worked from earlier Christian inner healing approaches and what we now know about the brain from far reaching scholars such as Dr Allan Schore, Dr Daniel Siegel and others.
They are important for effective pastoral care, prayer ministry and therapeutic models such as Immanuel Focused Therapy, and for expanding the possibilities in prayer times with friends or small groups.
This training will benefit all who want simple yet effective practices to engage their brain’s relational circuits, increase their sense of peace, and establish an interactive awareness of God’s presence.
You are invited to join this upcoming webinar/workshop
Approaching Immanuel: Preparing Heart and Mind for Interacting with God
To be held Saturday April 6th
Nunawading Community Centre
12 noon - 4pm
(12-1pm Lunch (BYO)- to include an introductory warm up etc.) with two hour interactive online workshop
Afternoon tea/fellowship/debriefing etc. 3-4pm
This 120 minute workshop facilitated by Michael Schaefer, is a "hands on" introduction to the ability to lead others into an interactive connection with "Immanuel, God who is with us".
This is achieved by a process that utilizes joy, attunement, actively appreciating previous positive experiences, reflective listening, simple prayer and directing focus to the perception of God’s presence and response.
It is how Michael Schaefer and Andy Ross kick start participants to learn the basic skills used in the Immanuel Approach for Emotional Healing and for Life.
The workshop/webinar allows participants to get a sense of what further training will be like.
This workshop precedes a six session ( 2 hrs per week) training group called:
Immanuel Approach Basic Skills Development Group
Participants attending the Approaching Immanuel Workshop are in no way obliged to join our further training groups.
You are invited to prayerfully consider who to extend this invitation to and warmly encouraged to do so.
