Ps. Wayne Phillingham (Counsellor Sinai Ministries) will continue with his presentation  leading an interactive review/discussion of the online series put out by NICABM (CCNV has purchased) looking at breakthrough research done by neuroscientists and how this is impacting the treatment of trauma.

NICABM’s mission is to change the way medicine is practiced by incorporating new research findings and new clinical applications into health and mental health practices. As we’ve researched material for our many teleseminar and distance learning courses, we’ve come across amazing new finds in areas like brain science, PTSD, mindfulness, and mind/body medicine. Some of these resources were too good to keep to ourselves, so we make them available to you free of charge. Use them to benefit your own health and the health of those around you.

NICABM serves physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and counselors – practitioners who have some of the most significant and life-changing missions on the planet.

For more than 25 years, NICABM has brought together the top researchers, practitioners, and experts to improve the health and wellbeing of people around the world (126 countries).

Through expert interviews highlighting the latest ideas, we equip practitioners with innovative and effective techniques to use with clients. We provide accredited continuing education training on mindfulness meditation, brain science, and the treatment of trauma.

The National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine supports the integration of mind-body and behavioral medicine with Western medicine.

NICABM does not advocate the use of alternative and/or complementary medicine in lieu of conventional medicine. Rather, we support the thoughtful consideration of the research and efficacy of behavioral medicine and, where appropriate, the application and integration of these treatment modalities.
